Travels with Michael Palin

Thanks for all this advice Paul, I’m booked in to Hotel im Wasserturm and will let you know all about my trip. I might even bring you back a Christmas present, if you’ve been good!

I’m so pleased to see you have launched hotel reviews on your website. I see that quite a few members have started using this function and think it’s going to be really well received by all – I always like a good recommendation on where to stay as you well know! I think more and more travel companies are going to need to start doing this – well done on being one of the very first.

Before I head off to Germany I wanted to let you know about a photographic exhibition about to launch which I think you and our followers based in London or planning a trip to the British capital might be interested in – Travels with Michael Palin opens at London’s Royal Geographic Society on the 3rd December and runs until 25th January 2013.

Photographer Basil Pao has travelled around the world with British television presenter and actor, Michael Palin, documenting his globetrotting with some stunning images. It’s a free exhibition and it documents Palin’s travels over almost 25 years. I highly recommend a trip down to the RGS on Kensington Gore to see this when it opens if you will be in London! I’ve been a big fan of Palin for years and introduced many of my friends around the world to Palin’s Travels on the BBC.

I wonder if anyone would run an exhibition of my travel snaps…I’ve covered a lot of the world that’s for sure. Although I think my photographs might be less RGS and more Grazia!
