Miami Beach at The Betsy Hotel

Hiya Paul,

Just a quickie… simply had to let you know that I’ve received an email from my best friend Victoria (long-term buddies, we were at school together) saying she’s having a fabulous time in Miami Beach at The Betsy – she’s absolutely RAVING about it. She says as night falls the candlelit deck with its soft lighting and music is just SO romantic.

Thought you’d like to know that this Miami boutique hotel is proving such a big hit with two “VIPs” as it’s one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ properties. I’ve just checked it out on the SLH website and the photo of The Betsy is so very inviting: it’s a gorgeous example of Florida Georgian architecture.

Victoria’s taking a luxury break in Miami with her boyfriend William; they’re both keep-fit fanatics so they love the gorgeous long stretch of beach and the six-mile-long beach walkway (across Ocean Drive in famous Lumus Park) which they reckon is just THE perfect jog. Jogging is essential, she says, as they’ve spent too many evenings in the BLT Steak restaurant (the iconic modern American steakhouse at The Betsy)

where the steaks are to die for; and they’ve been having beach picnic baskets prepared by The Betsy staff with all sorts of choice snacks and luxury goodies in it. That, the hotel says, is enjoying the beach “Betsy-style”!

I certainly wouldn’t mind a touch of that style myself.

Maybe one day…

Love, Melissa

  1. BETSY Hotel is more than a hotel, it is a place where you feel protected and like home away from home..

  2. Oooh, aah.. I just love it! My daughter’s just been to Miami, ex Sydney Au, my husband and I just drove through on our way down to the Keys in 2007.. I think its time we have another visit soon! Thanks for jolting my memory about the beautiful Miami! – Jean Wethmar –
