SLH head office move to Victoria, London

Hi all,

Portland House - Victoria, London

Portland House – Victoria, London

It’s been an eventful week and I’m pleased to tell you that we’ve just moved our head office to Victoria in central London. This is an exciting step as SLH expands and it’s great to be in the heart of one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities.

As with all moves it took plenty of planning to ensure business continued as normal but everything went smoothly and we’ve settled in fast. Portland House, our new home is one of the few ‘skyscrapers’ in this area of London with fantastic views across Buckingham Palace and the London skyline. At 101 meters high, it’s also on the map as one of the high-rise world buildings scaled by the notorious French climber Alain Robert (also known as ‘the French Spider Man’) who scaled all 29 floors in 40 minutes with just bare hands and climbing shoes! It is also very close to one of our London hotels – The Goring which is celebrating it’s 100th year !

In addition to our head office in London, we also have offices in Singapore and New York which means there’s always someone in an SLH office 24 hours a day. Our move marks the start of the next chapter of the company as in 2011 we celebrate our 20th anniversary. Plenty more about this later but it’s great to be planning our celebrations in our new home.

More soon,

Paul

Congratulations on the new location, the views from the building are stunning, having seen them myself a number of years ago. It’s a shame the council or the owners don’t spend a little more money renovating the outside. I don’t know what the inside looks like these days, but it needed a little work when I was there. Hope the offices work out for you. Good blog too.
