Meet Melissa…
Hi, my name is Melissa Vinelli – English born and bred but with a twist of Italian from somewhere along the line. Must delve into the mystery of our family tree sometime, especially as Daddy is so tantalisingly vague about his side of the family. SO very intriguing. Wonder if Grandpapa was born in Sicily….
There I go, wandering off the subject. I’m a bit scatty sometimes, as you’ll discover. My friends in Chelsea, an area of London I adore and where I live, can’t understand how I was SO in control trading in the City for seven years. Fortunately for me my very own “seven-year itch” kicked in, and my love-hate relationship with trading broke down a month ago. Guess I was over-stressed and should not have told my dragon of a boss where to store the country’s supply of £20 notes. Mum thinks I’m bonkers. I think I’ve been liberated.
Darling Dad, what a sweetie he is. I mean… how many fathers would sub their 35-year old daughter and instruct her to get worldly-wise? He simply made me an offer I couldn’t refuse, so here I am ready to explore the world… in style. Dad knows I love oodles of style, BIG time, so he insists I stay in classy hotels.
That’s where Paul comes in – he’s CEO of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, (and a very close friend of the Vinelli family) so knows only too well where all the glamorous, unusual, relaxing, elegant and fun hotels are. Perfecto! (I’m sure he had a thing going with my sister at one time you know. He had a lucky escape – she’s got four kids under the age of 7.)
I love having fun, am bit of a dare-devil; am also serious at times, wild at others! I adore travelling; and wining and dining is a big passion of mine – as is partying – and I adore being pampered with luscious spa treatments until my toes curl. I can never have enough toe curling darling.
Get to know me over the next few months. Share my experiences; check out what I’m up to and where I am -namely all over the place… in mind and in body. You’ll undoubtedly even wonder from time to time if I’m from another planet!!

I have a sister called Melissa, which means in Greek ” honeybee”! I love the name!. My sister, Melissa, is an amazing and wonderful person; she is the youngest of the five of us, and she has four children between the ages of 12 and almost 21! I don’t know how she does it all and a husband who travels constantly for business.
